Here's a photo that a customer sent us of his titanium frame. The manufacturer of this frame saved a few bucks and installed a $15 eccentric, but it resulted in damage to the customer's very expensive frame. Notice how the bottom bracket shell has become 'ovalized' from the tightening of the bolts.
This photo shows that the titanium is actually showing signs of fatigue, and may eventually crack.
The Bushnell eccentric design spreads the clamping load throughout the bottom bracket shell in a much more even fashion than other designs.
This customer installed the 2007 Bushnell eccentric to prevent any further damage to his frame and saved weight in the process.
